New “NorCalGuide” App Offers a Gold

Northern California’s vast scenic beauty, abundant outdoor
recreation, rich history, lush farms and luscious wineries? Now
it’s easier than ever!
Representing more than a dozen counties, the Central Valley
Tourism Association and Gold Country Visitors Association
have teamed up to offer an exciting new iPhone and iPad travel
app that puts all of the information you need to plan a great
Northern California vacation right in the palm of your hand.
Showcasing the best attractions and experiences this region has
to offer – in a convenient format that’s easy to use on the go –
the free “Northern California Travel Guide” travel app
provides comprehensive coverage and quick access to destination
profiles, points of interest, photos and videos, maps, listings,
deals and so much more. It will be available on iTunes in early
June, with an Android version coming out later this summer.
Funded by a multi-regional grant from the California Travel
and Tourism Commission, the app was developed by Miles
Media, North America’s leading travel publisher specializing in
expert content creation and distribution for destinations via
print, web, email and other integrated marketing channels. Often
praised as the best in the business, Miles Media has won
numerous awards for its industry-leading work, including “Best
Travel Mobile Application” at both the 2010 and 2011 Internet
Advertising Competition (IAC), as well as “Best Travel Social
Media Campaign,” “Best Travel Online Newsletter” and
“Outstanding Website” at the 2011 ceremony.
